Life. Life has been quite something lately. I promise if it weren't for my faith I wouldn't be typing this right now. 2025 was bad, and it overflowed into 2026.... but I declare that streak is done. As for Carson Standard Poodles, the last 5 litters we tried for....amount to nothing. Margo's litter seems too good to be true, 11 healthy strong pups! While it's true that sometimes breeding can be exhausting, there's nothing like a cuddle with a 3 week old pup.

The saying my friend used many years ago rings true, "You got livestock... you got deadstock." Loss comes with living. I'm reminded of what Paul said in James 1 Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters,[a] whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.

12 Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him.

In Romans 5 Paul says, "Therefore, having been justified by faith, [a]we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces [b]perseverance; and perseverance, [c]character; and character, hope. Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.

I'd love to tell you that I am joyful when I go through trials, but noooooo.... I'm not there yet!

Here's my next step, again Paul with some wisdom in Phillipians 4, "Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things.

If you're curious about the crew here, our oldest son is done classes and is now working full time, he graduates in June. Our oldest daughter, turning 16 soon, is busy playing volleyball and about to start softball. Our next daughter, who is 11, has shot up and out grown me and her older sister! She's becoming a good baker and helper with supper:) Our third daughter is learning ukulele and enjoying new friends, she spends lots of time doing art and reading books. Our youngest, a son, is super active and thrives outdoors, yes even in winter! He is also an avid reader, sometimes reading books while pedaling the stationary bike...lol. Our house is on the go, let me tell you.=!

I have an instagram page that covers a little bit of all the things going on here... it's called bespokejewelrymb. https://www.instagram.com/bespokejewelrymb/?hl=en It's a new hobby of mine to make local Manitoba rocks into pendants and earrings, but I also use this page for puppies, cows, chickens, kids, pottery....and whatever tickles my fancy!

I have some kids who are very creative and want to start selling their work, so I will be putting a page on this site to accommodate that. We can ship anything from our shopping page (and we can ship puppies too, but they're not on my shopping page!). So, feel free to check it out, and support my young entrepreneurs, and I!

I hope you enjoy the Spring weather as the snow slowly disappears exposing all the doggie do-do.

Take some time to breathe, read, pray, and be thankful today. God bless you!
